The Rhodes baseball team lost this afternoon to Denison University 14-8.  Denison jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the first and stretched the lead to 10-0 before the first Lynx runner crossed the plate in the bottom of the fourth.  Rhodes narrowed the gap to 12-8 in the bottom of the seventh but that would be as close as the Lynx would come to taking the lead.  Rhodes now falls to 11-6 on the season.

The Lynx offense was led by Sophomore 1B Brogan Jayne who went 2-3 on the day with 2 RBIs, 2 runs scored, walked once.  Senior RF Mason Mosby went 2-4 with 3 runs scored and a walk.  Freshman CF Travis Perkins was 2-5 on the day.

Rhodes will return to action Tuesday afternoon on the road against Christian Brothers University.  First pitch is set for 3:00.
